Imagine yourself being a local producer around 2004. Now imagine a group of high school kids walking into your studio. One of them just rambling and such, and two of them ready to get to work (surprising for High School kids)! The bigger one of the two that was ready to work stands out; he gives you the presence of a young Pun. A Natural in the booth. Ready to showcase his talent he was blessed with. He knows where he wants to go with this!

That’s what I observed those years back recording Durham, NC’s Kourvioisier (How smooth is that) now 18. Packed with well aged verses, and wordplay to win any scrabble game the new generation of artistry is upon us. With his step father being DJ Jam he had an in house Hip-Hop mentor at the young age of 13.

His first lessons where in the art of style: The many different ways of Flowestry, Spitting, and Rhyming. With hard knock lessons from the 80’s & 90’s with acts such as Rakim, his step father was able to put together a strong base for the young brew.

Now five years later he hooks up with Durham, NC’s legendary DJ; Dj Skaz of the Butta Team. Skaz saw the Potential that needed to be Kinetic. He gave KTR the tools needed to operate through a forever changing genre of music in itself-Hip-Hop.

With shows completed, he is physically sound! One in particular where he opens up for 9th wonders camp; IWWG. He puts on one of the best performances by any young spitter around. He’s ready! His first work “Return of the Golden era hosted by Dj Skaz, Phenomenal! He has a solo album project on the way that is currently untitled, and a 2nd mix tape that is under construction; feat Durham, NC’s artist sixteen, entitled “Godzilla meets King Kong”. With a strong Hip-Hop foundation this young man has the opportunity to age his Very Special Cognac.
