While The Remix Project and Soulmade Ice Cream were upstairs keeping things cool, the party people downstairs definitely had things heating up.
Where else and when else besides Charlotte during the CIAA can you hear a live band covering tunes by Alicia Keys, eat gourmet artisan gelato and ice cream, shake your ass to the new school hits, get a massage, sample hors d’ourvesm and get drunk at a party - all before three o’clock in the afternoon.

NuFaces brought together a number of different brands for their Midday Soirre at V on Friday February 29th. The Remix Project gave the upstairs area, normally reserved for the VIP at night, a speakeasy appeal. Do some research on these guys if you are not familiar . The bands reach spans from Charlotte to the Triangle and their range reaches from covering popular hip hop tunes to composing their own music.
Also upstairs was the Soulmade Ice Cream booth. Soulmade Ice Cream will be opening their anchor store during the fall of this year. The future home rests in one of Charlotte’s most highly anticipated developments – The NC Music Factory (www.ncmusicfactory.com). Flavors on hand at the soirre included Soulmade’s
signature piece, sweet potato pie ice cream. Some had seconds, thirds, fourths…and will admit to it.

Downstairs the DJ warmed the crowd up as complimentary finger foods were provided by George Herman’s, a sports bar in the Brevard Court. Imaj Salon & Spa was on hand to pamper the crowd with massages and beauty tips.As the party drew to a close attendees were in mid-night form. A soultrain line was formed. Some chick kept blowing a whistle to the tune of every song the DJ played. Later the crowd lingered in the parking lot, broad daylight, wondering how to keep the party going.
